Kuwait condemns drone attack on Saudi East-West oil pipeline

Kuwait has strongly condemned the drone attack targeting Saudi Arabia’s East-West oil pipeline in the Riyadh and Madinah regions, which caused casualties and material damage. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the drones came from Iraqi territory and described the attack as a serious violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and international law.
The ministry also warned that targeting energy infrastructure threatens the security of energy supplies and could further destabilize the region. Kuwait stressed the need for the Iraqi government to take the necessary steps to ensure that its territory is not used to launch attacks against neighboring countries.
It also called on Baghdad to work to stop such attacks and prevent them from happening again. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed Kuwait’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its sovereignty, security, stability and national interests.
