Kuwait Cabinet discuss either 3 or 5-day Eid al-Fitr Holidays

The Council of Ministers convened its weekly meeting today, Thursday, 13th March, under the leadership of Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, to discuss about Eid al-Fitr holidays.

The Council of Ministers in their meeting announced a three-day suspension of work across all ministries, government agencies, and public institutions in celebration of Eid al-Fitr.

If Eid is confirmed to begin on Sunday, March 30, 2025, the holiday will extend until Tuesday, April 1, with official work resuming on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

Moreover, If Eid al-Fitr falls on Monday, March 31, 2025, the holiday will extend to five days, starting from Sunday, March 30, which will be considered the completion of Ramadan.

Monday through Thursday will be designated as rest days, as Thursday falls between two holidays, with work resuming on Sunday, April 6, 2025.

Meanwhile, institutions with special operational requirements will have their holiday schedules determined by the relevant authorities, ensuring continuity in essential services while considering the public interest.
