Fahaheel and Fourth Ring roads set for major overhaul under new contracts

• Dr. Noura Al-Mashan, the Minister of Public Works, noted that the maintenance and repair of highways and regional roads is a priority for the political leadership, aimed at developing advanced infrastructure to support the growth of Kuwait and achieve the “Kuwait Vision 2035.”
The Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport is set to commence major maintenance work on the Fahaheel Road and the Fourth Ring Road under the Ministry of Works’ signed maintenance contracts with implementing companies.
Sources from the authority told Al-Rai newspaper that these efforts reflect the commitment of Dr. Noura Al-Mashan, the Minister of Public Works, to prioritize and initiate these vital road maintenance projects without delay.
She highlighted the commencement of maintenance work across several of Kuwait’s six governorates, including the Salmi Highways and the Seventh Ring Roads. She explained that the initiation of maintenance on the Fourth Ring Road and the Fahaheel Road marks the start of the authority’s implementation of four out of the six signed contracts for highway maintenance in the country.
She further noted that the maintenance and repair of highways and regional roads is a priority for the political leadership, aimed at developing advanced infrastructure to support the growth of Kuwait and achieve the “Kuwait Vision 2035.”
She also emphasized the coordination between the Ministry of Works and the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Traffic Department, regarding maintenance activities and the necessary lane closures to complete the required work.
