
Bahrain’s Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company has confirmed that several of its operational units were targeted in a drone attack early this morning, triggering a fire at the facility amid escalating regional tensions.
According to a statement carried by the Bahrain News Agency, the blaze was swiftly brought under control and fully extinguished, with no casualties reported.
The company noted that emergency response teams were immediately deployed, working in close coordination with civil defense units and relevant authorities to contain the incident and secure the site.
Specialized technical teams have since begun a comprehensive assessment to evaluate the extent of the damage and document losses resulting from the attack.
GPIC emphasized that the safety of its personnel remains its top priority, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining strict safety protocols while restoration efforts proceed.
