“Customs” foil attempt to smuggle large quantities of narcotics

The Air Freight Customs and the Express Mail Investigation and Research Department, successfully seized a number of parcels from various countries containing suspected narcotic substances, which are listed as follows:

Approximately 35,000 capsules of the substance Larica were seized, with 33,800 arriving via air freight in two separate packages—one containing 32,000 capsules and the other 1,800 capsules.

Additionally, the Customs Department at the Abdali border crossing apprehended an individual in possession of 1,067 capsules, which he attempted to smuggle through the crossing.

A parcel arriving from a European country by air freight was found to contain 35 kilograms of a suspected narcotic chemical. Additionally, 1,474 grams of narcotic hashish were seized in two separate parcels by air freight—one containing 1,074 grams from a European country and the other 400 grams from an Asian country.

The Customs Department at the Nusayb border crossing also arrested an individual in an abnormal condition, found in possession of 2.3 grams of the narcotic substance Shabu, which he attempted to smuggle through the crossing without any proof of legitimacy.

All seized items and suspects were handed over to the competent authorities for further investigation and necessary legal action.
