Appeals Court upholds 14-year sentence in shocking murder and burial case

The Court of Appeals has upheld the Criminal Court verdict and sentenced a Kuwaiti man to 14 years imprisonment with hard labor for murdering an Asian woman and burying her in the garden of his home in Saad Al-Abdullah City.

The court also upheld the one-year prison sentence with hard labor for three others, the father, brother, and wife of the accused, for violating the dignity of the deceased and failing to report the crime, reports Al-Anba daily.

The case dates back to late December 2024, when a 22-year-old citizen contacted the Ministry of Interior operations room, reporting that his 25-year-old brother had killed a domestic worker and buried her in the garden of their home.

According to the report, the disclosure came after a dispute involving the accused and his wife, which led to the revelation of the crime and the launch of legal proceedings.
