Air India Express has resumed flight services to Kuwait and Salalah, completing the restoration of its Middle East network after weeks of operational disruptions caused by regional airspace restrictions.
The airline restarted flights between Kozhikode and Salalah in Oman on July 2. Services on the Kozhikode–Kuwait route resumed on July 3, followed by Bengaluru–Kuwait flights from July 4. The carrier said frequencies on these routes will be increased gradually in line with passenger demand.
With the return of Salalah services, Air India Express now operates flights to two destinations in Oman, Muscat and Salalah, further strengthening its connectivity across the Gulf region.
According to the airline, the phased restoration has been made possible by improved operating conditions across West Asia, where airspace restrictions had forced several airlines to suspend or adjust flight schedules in recent weeks.
The resumption restores Air India Express’ entire West Asia network, an important market serving a large Indian expatriate community as well as business and leisure travelers, according to news reports.
The renewed services are expected to ease travel for passengers flying between India and the Gulf, particularly from Kerala and Karnataka, while improving connectivity to key employment and commercial hubs in Kuwait and Oman.
