‘A homeland that protects you’ campaign continues beyond exhibition, says Dr. Al-Huwailah
- Dr. Al-Huwailah highlighted that doors remain open for treatment and rehabilitation, urging individuals and families in need of assistance to seek support at the addiction treatment center of the Ministry of Health, where services are provided with full confidentiality and integrated medical, psychological, and social care.
Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs announced the conclusion of the awareness exhibition for the national campaign against drugs, “A Homeland That Protects You,” held at The Avenues Mall, while confirming that the wider awareness initiative will continue for an additional month through ongoing outreach programs and media messaging.
Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on the occasion of the conclusion of the exhibition, Dr. Al-Huwailah stressed that the campaign’s objectives extend beyond the closing of the event, with sustained efforts aimed at reaching the widest possible segment of society.
She noted that the continued implementation of awareness programs reflects the directives and support of the political leadership, which places strong emphasis on protecting Kuwaiti families and safeguarding young people from the dangers of drug abuse.

The minister also expressed her appreciation to First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah for his sponsorship of the campaign and continued support for national initiatives aimed at enhancing community security and promoting a culture of prevention.
She further thanked all participating entities from both the public and private sectors for their contributions to the success of the campaign, praising their cooperation and sense of social responsibility in addressing the issue of drug abuse.
Dr. Al-Huwailah commended the efforts of the exhibition staff and participating organizations, noting that their coordination played a key role in delivering the campaign’s message to the public effectively.
