Meteorologist predicts hot, humid weather until weekend
September will feature two key astronomical events — a total lunar eclipse on September 7, when the moon will enter the Earth’s shadow, and the autumnal equinox on September 22, when day and night will be of equal length.

Meteorologist Issa Ramadan said the current spell of hot weather and coastal humidity will persist through Wednesday and into the weekend, accompanied by variable winds and humid land and sea breezes in the evenings.
He attributed the conditions to the disintegration and weakening of the Indian monsoon depression.
Ramadan added the month of September marks the transition from summer, with temperatures gradually declining as the month progresses, reports Al-Qabas daily.
He added that the Canopus star, a traditional seasonal indicator, will become visible in the Kuwaiti sky after September 6.
According to Ramadan, the end-of-month weather will depend largely on wind patterns: dry northwesterly winds would bring pleasant evenings suitable for outdoor activities, while southeasterly winds would increase humidity, making conditions tiring and hot.
He further revealed that September will feature two key astronomical events — a total lunar eclipse on September 7, when the moon will enter the Earth’s shadow, and the autumnal equinox on September 22, when day and night will be of equal length.
