
Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz has awarded Maher Al-Dalbahi the King Abdulaziz Medal, First Class, along with a financial reward of one million riyals, in recognition of his bravery.
Al-Dalbahi courageously steered a burning truck out of a gas station, preventing a potentially catastrophic incident, according to a report submitted by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The Saudi Press Agency stated that the award reflects the leadership’s appreciation for citizens who demonstrate courage, dedication, and selflessness, values central to the Saudi national character.
The Al-Dalbahi family expressed gratitude for the honor, while social media widely shared videos of the incident, echoing the Crown Prince’s earlier remark that “fear does not exist in the Saudi dictionary.”
