Kuwait authorities seize 25,000 chewing tobacco products
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, seized 25,000 sachets of chewing tobacco during an inspection campaign targeting several grocery stores in downtown Kuwait City. The product is among goods prohibited from being imported, displayed, marketed or traded in Kuwait under Ministerial Decision No. 216 of 2014.
The inspection was conducted as part of joint campaigns carried out by the emergency teams for the Capital and Hawalli governorates. The campaign resulted in three violation reports being issued against the offenders, with the necessary legal measures taken against them.
