
US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that American forces concluded the 13th consecutive night of major airstrikes against Iranian military installations late Thursday.
In a statement, the CENTCOM pointed out that the new wave of airstrikes targeted Iranian military command centers, drone storage facilities, communication networks, coastal surveillance sites, and maritime capabilities to further diminish the threat Iran poses to civilian mariners and commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
It affirmed that the international waterway remains open for transit despite recent attacks from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. commercial vessels continue to freely navigate the US military support.
The command emphasized that more than 50,000 US service members deployed across the Middle East maintain maximum vigilance and operational readiness to secure the region.
