Spectacular drone shows add color to Kuwait’s National Day festivities

Around 15 engineers from India are executing over eight mesmerizing drone shows in Kuwait this February, with four completed so far, as part of a historic celebration for the ‘Ya Hala’ festival, featuring more than 8,000 drones organized by Grand Festival Company and India’s BotLab.

In Kuwait, BotLabs first show occurred at Al Shaheed Park on February 2, followed by a second show at Al Khairan Mall on February 7, two additional shows at Marina Crescent on February 14 and 15, and another round of spectacular performances scheduled for Al Shaheed Park on February 25 and 26.

BotLab Dynamics is setting global benchmarks in the drone industry, achieving five Guinness World Records with a 5,500-drone display in 2024 and positioning itself among the top ten drone light show companies through its dominance in India and expansion into the Middle Eastern market.

Multiple drone shows are lighting up Kuwait’s skies, adding color to the National Day celebrations, organized by Grand Festival Kuwait with technical support from India’s BotLab Dynamics.

BotLab, a pioneer in India’s drone light show industry, has developed all its solutions in-house to ensure flexibility and precision in deployment.

The Grand Festival Company shortlisted multiple companies worldwide to conduct drone shows in Kuwait and ultimately selected New Delhi-based BotLab for meeting all requirements.

Around fifteen engineers are working tirelessly to execute over eight drone shows in Kuwait this February, with four successfully completed so far.

Grand Festival Company and India’s BotLab are the first to organize drone shows of this scale in the GCC, flying over 8,000 drones in a single month.

BotLab Dynamics launched this vertical by setting a record with India’s largest drone light show, featuring 1,000 drones at Rashtrapati Bhawan in January 2022 for the Beating Retreat ceremony. This achievement made India the fourth nation in the world to host a drone show of this scale.

“We have also conducted drone shows in various parts of India, including Mysore Dasara, Gujarat Science City, the Invest Karnataka event, Odisha Conclave, and several other sports events,” a BotLab representative said. The company has also organized drone shows in Oman, Sri Lanka, and multiple locations in Africa before making its debut in Kuwait.

“It took us around three to four days to set up each show,” an engineer from BotLab told IndiansinKuwait.com. The team converts each graphic into a 3D pixel format and programs the drones using their system.

In Kuwait, BotLabs first show took place at Al ShaheedPark on February 2, followed by the second at Al KhairanMall on February 7. Two more shows were held at Marina Crescent on February 14 and 15. The team is set to deliver another round of spectacular shows at Al Shaheed Park on February 25 and 26.

BotLab Dynamics, an IIT Delhi-incubated startup, leads India’s drone swarm technology, setting global benchmarks in the industry. In 2024, they made history by achieving five Guinness World Records at the AmaravatiDrone Summit with a 5,500-drone display. With over 10,000 drones, BotLab is expanding its international presence.

The company’s recent achievements, including their breakthrough into the Middle Eastern market and continued dominance in India, position them as one of the top ten drone light show companies globally.
