PAM launches online service for expat partner work permit renewals
Service designed to improve efficiency in labor procedures, significantly reduce processing time, and minimize reliance on physical paperwork

The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has introduced a new digital service enabling expatriate partners and eligible individuals, including spouses of Kuwaiti citizens, to independently renew and manage their work permits online through the Ashal Portal.
The service allows users to complete work permit renewals and related procedures directly without the need for intermediaries, marking a shift toward fully self-managed digital transactions.
In addition to renewals, the upgraded system also supports work permit issuance, cancellation, and the reversal of cancellations, expanding the scope of online labor services available to users.
The platform targets specific residency categories, including spouses and children of Kuwaiti citizens, as well as individuals whose legal status has been amended to meet eligibility requirements.
Officials said the initiative is designed to improve efficiency in labor procedures, significantly reduce processing time, and minimize reliance on physical paperwork, as part of broader efforts to modernize government services.
