More than 61 kilos of spoiled fish destroyed during food inspection in Khaitan
The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition (PAFN) has destroyed more than 61 kilograms of spoiled fish during an inspection campaign targeting food establishments in the Khaitan area.
The inspection, carried out by the authority’s Irrigation Food Inspection Center, also resulted in a number of citations being issued against businesses found selling food deemed unfit for human consumption and trading in adulterated food products.
PAFN said the campaign forms part of its ongoing inspection program aimed at ensuring compliance with food safety and public health regulations.
The authority stressed that its monitoring efforts are designed to enhance food safety standards, ensure that food products available in the market meet health requirements, and protect consumers from unsafe or contaminated food.
PAFN reiterated its commitment to continuing regular inspections across food establishments to safeguard public health and maintain confidence in Kuwait’s food supply.
