KAFO forum opens in Kuwait to empower youth, build the future

The KAFO (Kuwait’s Achievers for Future Opportunities) forum – the country’s first national platform dedicated to showcasing Kuwaiti talent – kicked off on Monday as part of Kuwait Season for Youth and Sport, featuring sessions covering a range of fields.
Held under the theme “From Resilience to Development: Kuwaiti Youth Build the Future,” the forum took place at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre, with sessions on water security, food and energy, artificial intelligence, health, nutrition, sport, education and other topics.
In a speech, Al-Asimah Governor Sheikh Abdullah Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah said the forum embodies Kuwait’s journey of steadfastness in addressing challenges and advancing towards construction, development and exploring the future.

The attention paid by the political leadership, led by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to Kuwait’s youth reflects its firm belief that they are the country’s true wealth and a key pillar in building the future and achieving its development aspirations, the governor added.
While previous generations set outstanding examples of sacrifice and steadfastness in protecting Kuwait and maintaining its security and stability, today’s youth bear the responsibility of continuing this national legacy through education, knowledge and innovation, he noted.
Fatima Al-Mousawi, KAFO CEO, said the platform was launched with the aim of empowering young people and providing them with opportunities to showcase their abilities and creative talents, reflecting a belief in their potential to excel and make meaningful contributions to community development.

She added that the platform is committed to constantly discovering young talent, embracing and nurturing creative initiatives, and providing a supportive environment that enables young people to turn their ideas and ambitions into tangible achievements.
