Kuwait’s detectives unmask 50-year-old citizenship fraud through DNA tests

The detectives proved that no file is ever truly closed and no doubt goes unverified, no matter how much time has passed. Their relentless pursuit of the truth led them to uncover a forgery in a case that had remained untouched for over 50 years, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to justice.
Importantly, the sources revealed that DNA tests, conducted after complaints from siblings against a citizen claiming to be their relative, confirmed that he was not their brother and had been fraudulently registered in the citizenship records.
Sources revealed that investigations uncovered records of the same individual in the National Archives, with Officer Abdullah Al-Tayyar having noted relevant information in the 1970s. Although the forger was summoned at the time, the case was closed due to the absence of modern verification methods, leaving uncertainty about the forgery.
