Kuwait lifts ban, opens doors for 187 foreign medical hires

The Ministry of Health is working with the Civil Service Bureau to lift the “ban” on 187 vacant medical positions, allowing the appointment of non-Kuwaiti doctors, nurses, technicians, and pharmacists.

Sources told Al-Anba newspaper that the positions in need of approval include 61 for doctors, 117 for nurses, six for technicians, and three for pharmacists.

The sources confirmed that the Ministry of Health aims to accelerate procedures in cooperation with the Civil Service Bureau to streamline the appointment process and attract the necessary medical talent as quickly as possible.

This initiative seeks to enhance the operational capacity of hospitals and health centers, strengthen the stability of the health sector, and meet its growing needs, ensuring optimal healthcare for citizens.
