Kuwait introduces new fees for boat and jet ski license plates
Kuwait has issued a new ministerial decision setting fees for license plates for floating vessels and jet skis, with charges ranging from 5 dinars to 25 dinars depending on the type of service and vessel size.
The decision, published in the official gazette “Kuwait Alyawm”, outlines the fees for issuing new license plates as well as replacing lost or damaged plates.
According to the decision, the fee for issuing a new license plate for the first time, across all vessel sizes, is 5 dinars
For the issuance of a replacement plate due to loss or damage, the fees are based on the size of the vessel:
- Vessels larger than 40 feet the fee is 25 dinars
- Vessels between 16 and 40 feet 20 dinars
- Vessels smaller than 16 feet 15 dinars
The new fee structure applies to floating vessels and jet skis registered under Kuwait’s maritime regulations and aims to standardize charges for marine license plate services.
