Kuwait Fire Force closes 35 shops for safety violations
The closures were due to shops lacking firefighting licenses and failing to meet safety regulations, despite prior warnings.
The Kuwait Fire Force has shut down thirty five shops and establishments across various governorates for violating fire license regulations and requirements, according to Al Qabas newspaper.
The department stated in a press release that the closures occurred because these shops and facilities lacked firefighting licenses and failed to comply with safety and fire prevention regulations, despite prior warnings to rectify their violations.
In another development, Major General Khaled Fahd, head of the Kuwait Fire Force, met with Dr. Jassim Al-Ali, Director General of the National Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education, to discuss the institutional accreditation mechanism for military academies.
The authority announced in a press statement that the two sides also addressed several joint projects, including the formation of a permanent committee to establish academic standards for military institutions.
