Kuwait Airport Surpasses ICAO Standards in Security Audit, Reinforcing Aviation Safety

Achievement highlights the country's commitment to enhancing aviation safety and security

The Kuwait International Airport has successfully passed the security audit with results surpassing the international standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The Al-Jarida daily quoting Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said this achievement highlights the country’s commitment to enhancing aviation safety and security, backed by the support of the senior leadership.

The DGCA Chairman Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Sabah credited the success to the collective efforts of all stakeholders at the airport and the DGCA. The audit team reviewed all airport facilities, focusing on security systems and equipment to ensure compliance with international standards.

Sheikh Hamoud emphasized the importance of investing in advanced systems to maintain top security and elevate the airport’s global status. He thanked government and security agencies, national companies, and all contributors for their efforts, aligning with the vision of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
