Sheikha Jawaher supports women’s empowerment in maritime security

Assistant Foreign Minister for Human Rights Affairs, Sheikha Jawaher Al-Ibrahim Al-Duaij Al-Sabah, visited the Directorate-General of Coast Guard to unify efforts in empowering women and review the department’s achievements in this area.

The visit, part of her role as Chair of the National Committee for the Implementation of Security Council Resolution No. 1325 on Women, Peace, and Security, was welcomed by Brigadier General Sheikh Mubarak Ali Yousef Al-Sabah, Director-General of the Coast Guard, reports Al-Jarida daily.

During the visit, Sheikha Jawaher Al-Sabah was briefed on the Coast Guard’s key achievements, including the vital role women play in various tasks and their contributions to maritime security.
The visit emphasized the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to empowering women and reinforcing their critical role in ensuring maritime security and achieving strategic goals.
