KTS, TEF celebrate Tamil Nadu Day at Embassy of India auditorium

Kuwait Tamil Sangam (KTS), in association with the Tamil Nadu Engineers Forum (TEF), celebrated Tamil Nadu Day 2026 at the Embassy of India Auditorium with participation from the Tamil community.

The program commenced with the National anthems of Kuwait and India, followed by Tamil Thai Vazhthu.

The event was inaugurated with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony by Sanjay K. Muluka, Chargé d’Affaires, Embassy of India, Kuwait, along with D. Rajnarayanan, KTS General Secretary, Raghuram, Vice President, Tamil Nadu Engineers Forum, Karthik Elangovan and Mohammed Ali Bhai.

In his inaugural address, Muluka lauded the efforts of KTS and TEF in preserving and promoting Tamil language and culture within the Indian diaspora.

The cultural program featured Veena and Mridangam recital, Bharatanatyam, Silambam, Tamil elocution by children, and vibrant folk dance performances, showcasing the rich heritage of Tamil Nadu.

A notable highlight of the evening was the presence of leaders and representatives from several Tamil associations in Kuwait, reflecting the unity and collective spirit of the Tamil community.

They were honored for their valuable contributions to community service, along with and Shri Hari Ketan, Second Secretary at the Embassy of India.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Pradhama Maniyarasu, who expressed her appreciation to the Embassy of India, distinguished guests, sponsors, volunteers, participants and the wider Tamil community for their support in making the celebration a resounding success.
