Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Monday the death of its intelligence chief, Major General Majid Khademi, saying he was killed in an overnight strike attributed to the United States and Israel.
In a statement, the IRGC said Khademi, who headed the organization’s intelligence service, was killed at dawn in what it described as an “attack carried out by the Israeli occupation and the United States.”
The announcement comes amid escalating regional tensions, with reports citing ongoing diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the conflict, reports Al-Rai daily.
In related developments, authorities in Abu Dhabi said debris from an interception operation injured one person in the Musaffah Industrial Area.
