Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said on Monday that Tehran has finalized its positions and demands in response to the latest ceasefire proposals delivered through mediators, stressing that negotiations cannot be conducted under “deadlines or threats of war crimes.”
Baghaei said Iran has clearly defined its demands based on national interests and has already communicated them through intermediary channels.
He emphasized that Tehran remains open in expressing what it considers legitimate demands, adding that this should not be seen as concessions but rather as a reflection of Iran’s confidence in defending its stance, reports Al-Rai daily.
Responding to questions about ongoing efforts to reach a ceasefire between Iran and the United States, he said Iran has prepared its official response and will announce further details at the appropriate time.
The remarks come amid heightened regional developments, including reports that the Revolutionary Guard has announced the death of its intelligence chief, Maj. Gen. Majid Khademi, in an alleged strike, as well as Reuters reporting that a two-stage peace plan could come into effect as early as today.
