Six injured by falling shrapnel in Northern Kuwait during missile and drone interception

Health Ministry says minor injuries treated at site and at Jahra Hospital

Health Ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said on Monday the Central Operations Room received dawn reports of debris falling in a northern residential area due to Iranian aggression, causing limited injuries, all cases currently stable.

Al-Sanad stated in a press release that emergency medical teams and ambulance services responded immediately to the incident with the highest level of readiness.

He added that paramedic teams dealt on site with two injured women, providing them with the necessary medical care without the need for hospital transfer, while a third injured person was transferred to the emergency department at Jahra Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

He explained that emergency departments also received a number of cases who arrived on their own to Jahra Hospital, bringing the total number of cases handled on site, by transfer, or via self-presentation to six. Injuries ranged from superficial lacerations to the head and limbs, temporary hearing effects due to loud blasts, as well as fall-related injuries associated with the explosion.

Al-Sanad affirmed that all cases were stable and received the required medical care in accordance with approved protocols, with no serious complications recorded.

He noted that field teams conducted a comprehensive sweep of the affected area after handling the cases to ensure no additional unreported injuries, as part of completing the field health response system. He stressed the full readiness of the healthcare system to deal with various emergencies through a round-the-clock operational framework, calling on the public to adhere to official guidance and follow instructions issued by the competent authorities to ensure their safety.
