Government to revamp national workforce proportions in private sector

The amendments aim to ensure non-governmental agencies hire national workers in proportion, fostering private sector jobs for citizens and relieving strain on the government sector.

  • The Public Authority for Manpower continues to receive requests for the disbursement of social allowances and children’s allowances, following the conditions for providing national labor support.

According to sources within the Public Authority for Manpower, Al-Anbaa newspaper has learned of an ongoing project to revise the decision regarding the proportion of national workers in non-governmental agencies.

The sources explained that introducing some amendments to the decision to determine the proportions of national workers in non-governmental agencies aims to urge companies to adhere to these proportions when employing workers. Additionally, it aims to contribute to creating jobs for citizens interested in working in the private sector and easing pressure on the government sector.

The sources added that these amendments also encourage Kuwaiti youth to work in the private sector. They stressed that the authority continues to receive requests for the disbursement of social allowances and children’s allowances, following the conditions for providing national labor support.

These conditions include obtaining a license for micro-activities or activities of a special nature, as well as registration with insurance under Chapter Five, “Employer,” or Chapter Three, “Employment.”
