Crackdown in Salmiya, 23 residency and labor law violators arrested

During a security crackdown in Salmiya, the security authorities, Monday, took into custody 23 individuals for violating Kuwait’s residency and labor laws.
The Kuwait News Agency said arrests were prompted by widespread reports on social media about the visible presence and gatherings of illegal residents in the area.
The Interior Ministry revealed the crackdown led to the arrest of 19 individuals with Article 20 residency visas, typically issued to domestic workers, and four others holding Article 18 work permits for private companies.
