Fishermen’s Union chairman praises Coast Guard, reaffirms commitment to law and profession

Chairman of the Kuwaiti Fishermen’s Union, Abdullah Al-Sarheed, praised the Coast Guard’s crucial role in protecting Kuwait’s territorial waters and supporting local fishermen.

He thanked Brigadier General Sheikh Mubarak Al-Yousef, Director General of the Coast Guard, for his continued support and warm reception.

A delegation from the union recently met with Al-Yousef to discuss challenges facing fishermen. The Coast Guard chief listened to their concerns and pledged to study their demands, affirming a commitment to cooperation.

Al-Sarheed highlighted the Coast Guard’s professionalism in securing Kuwaiti waters and stressed the union’s dedication to marine and environmental regulations.

He emphasized the importance of educating fishermen about relevant laws and announced plans for further visits to government agencies to address the needs of the fishing community.

Al-Sarheed expressed optimism about the future of the profession and the union’s progress in supporting local fishermen.
