Boursa liquidity touches 9.82 billion dinars in first half of 2026

A specialized economic report revealed that liquidity in the Kuwaiti stock exchange reached approximately 9.823 billion dinars ($30.15 billion) during the first half of 2026, covering 116 trading sessions.

According to Al-Shall Consulting Company, the average daily trading value stood at around 84.7 million dinars ($260 million), marking a decline of about 22 percent compared to the same period in 2025, which recorded an average of 108.9 million dinars.

The report noted mixed market performance during June, with average daily trading falling by around 7 percent compared to May.

While the Premier Market and General Market indices declined, the Main Market and Main 50 index recorded modest gains.

Despite overall fluctuations, liquidity remained heavily concentrated. Around half of listed companies received only 62 percent of total trading activity, while a small group of low-cap companies attracted a disproportionately high share of liquidity relative to their market value.

The Premier Market accounted for the majority of trading activity, drawing about 64.8 percent of total liquidity, while the Main Market accounted for the remaining 35.2 percent, reflecting continued concentration of investor activity in select stocks.
