Al-Mangaf roads maintenance begins as part of latest contracts
The Ministry of Public Works has announced the commencement of comprehensive maintenance work on roads in the Mangaf area as part of its ongoing radical maintenance initiative for internal and external roads in Al-Ahmadi Governorate. Specialized teams inspected the site prior to initiating repairs to identify the required measures for effective maintenance.
The Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs, Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, affirmed that road maintenance work is progressing according to the established plans, prioritizing the most affected areas before addressing less critical ones. The Ministry’s teams will closely monitor and supervise the implementation of maintenance projects for timely completion of the work.
Al-Mashaan stated in a press release today that her directives to expedite road maintenance work are in line with the recommendations of His Highness, Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah. This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to maintaining and upgrading the nation’s infrastructure, which is the cornerstone of any economic vision.
Furthermore, Al-Mashaan emphasized the importance of coordination in addressing the challenges related to road maintenance projects, urging executing companies to expedite the completion of all tasks with the highest standards of quality and efficiency. She called for strict adherence to the approved technical specifications and the agreed-upon timelines to ensure the timely delivery of the maintenance work.
Al-Mashaan underscored that road maintenance and repair are among the top priorities of the country’s political leadership, commending the guidance and support of His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince. She highlighted their commitment to advancing infrastructure as a cornerstone of the “New Kuwait 2035” vision, to achieve a modern and sustainable infrastructure in line with the nation’s development goals.
Engineer Abdullah Al-Kandari explained that the maintenance process includes photographing and cleaning the sewage network as a preliminary step before conducting cadastral surveys and initiating asphalt work.
Al-Kandari called on the residents of the region to collaborate with the relevant authorities, particularly as certain roads will be temporarily closed in the near future to carry out essential maintenance work.
