MOH embarks on plan to beautify courtyards of health facilities
The Ministry of Health has initiated the third phase of its campaign aimed at greening the outdoor courtyards of its health facilities. Abdulaziz Al-Tasha, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Services Affairs, confirmed that this phase includes cleaning the external courtyards of the Ministry’s General Office and the health facilities in the Al-Sabah Specialized Area.
Al-Tasha emphasized that this campaign is part of the ministry’s commitment to providing a safe, healthy, and supportive environment conducive to good health. The campaign will involve various health facilities, including the Ministry’s General Office, the Kuwait Institute for Medical Specialties, hospitals, specialized centers, and primary health care centers, reports Al-Jarida daily.
The work plan for the campaign consists of three stages. The first stage involves cleaning the courtyards and surroundings of the health facilities. The second stage includes preparing the soil in the agricultural areas and making necessary divisions for planting. Finally, the third stage entails initiating the planting and afforestation process.
In this final stage, new resting sites for patients will be created in hospitals such as Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital and Medicine Natural Hospital, as well as Amiri Hospital and other health centers.
Additionally, several locations, including the Kuwait Institute for Medical Specialties and Gamal Abdel Nasser Street, will be planted with various trees. An irrigation network will be installed, and organic fertilization will be carried out. The campaign also involves inspecting other arable sites in the Al-Sabah Specialized Medical District.
