Five Kuwait innovative projects advance to int’l program in Spain
Kuwait’s Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity (SACGC) of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) announced on Friday the conclusion of the “Incubating Ideas and Innovations in Food and Water Security 2026” program.
Five projects by Kuwaiti innovators have qualified for the international phase in Spain during the program, which was held in collaboration with Spain’s IE University.
In a statement to KUNA, the SACGC said that the program is meant to support individuals uwith innovative ideas and projects in Kuwait, enabling them to develop creative solutions that address challenges pertinent to food and water security.
The program attracted significant interest as the center approved 112 out of 106 applications after fulfilling the eligibility criteria and requirements, thus qualifying them for a specialized training and development journey that ran from late June through September, it added.
The journey began with an in-person training week focused on providing participants with the essential knowledge and skills needed to develop their ideas and projects, the center noted.
Abdulrahman Al-Furaih (PADLOGIX) came first in the areas of food security and agriculture, Ahmad Al-Muhatab (MIRAGE) ranked second in water and energy, Abdulwahab Al-Mutawa (DATESHIELD) came third in food security, Maryam Jamali (LIFECUP) ranked fourth in water security, and finally Ahmad Al-Salem (KUWAIT BSF) ranked fifth in food security and the circular economy, it added. – KUNA
