FIMA pays tribute to founder-member Maarouf

FIMA held a condolence gathering to mourn the passing of its founder-member and former president, Mukhtar Maarouf, who recently passed away in Canada.

The meeting, presided over by Acting President Israr Ahmed at the KMCC Central Office, brought together community leaders and members who reflected on Mukhtar’s lasting contributions.

Speakers highlighted his unwavering dedication, bold decision-making, and tireless commitment to social causes. They recalled his deep empathy for the underprivileged and his firm stand on issues affecting marginalized communities. Mukhtar was praised for working with remarkable focus, often handling major initiatives singlehandedly to ensure their success.

His leadership left an indelible mark across social, educational, and philanthropic spheres. With his passing, the community has lost a visionary leader whose professional and social legacy stands as a testament to his character and compassion.

Among those who delivered condolence messages were Dr. Ameer Ahmed (Ex-President, IDF), Muzammil Malik (IMWA), Mustafa Kary (GS, KKMCC), Dr. Hidayathulla (TMCA), Haseeb, Mohamed Haneef (CMWS), Feroz (KIG), Shafak (IMWA), Waleed Parker (FWS), and Salim Desai (KWS).

The program began with a welcome address by Secretary General Siddeeque Valiyakath, followed by a vote of thanks from Basheer Batha. Prayers were offered for the departed soul, and Mahboob Nadammal along with Faizal KV coordinated the event proceedings.
