CARIRS opens online platform for withdrawn nationality cases

Here’s how to apply

The Central Agency for Addressing the Status of Illegal Residents (CARIRS) has opened an electronic platform to help people whose Article 5 nationality status was previously withdrawn complete the procedures needed to obtain an official certificate.

The service is available through https://es.carirs.gov.kw

The platform is intended for specific groups, including:

  • People with distinguished work status
  • Children of Kuwaiti mothers
  • People included in the 1965 census records

Those who have not previously submitted an application can now complete the required procedures online.

Who should apply?

  • The application must be submitted only in the name of the person whose nationality withdrawal decree was issued.
  • There is no need to submit separate applications for family members or dependents.
  • If the person named in the withdrawal decree has passed away, their relatives must submit the application using the deceased person’s name and information through the electronic platform.

Required documents

Applicants must upload:

  • A copy of the Civil ID card
  • A copy of the death certificate, if the person concerned is deceased

What happens after approval?

Once the official certificate is issued, applicants must download it directly from the website.

The Central Agency explained that the platform is not currently linked to the Sahel application, so applicants must manually upload the issued certificate to the Sahel application to continue completing the remaining procedures.

Need technical help?

If applicants face any technical problems or system errors while submitting their applications, they can contact the Status Adjustment Department at the Central Agency for Addressing the Status of Illegal Residents.

The department is located in the East Al-Sawaber area.

The Central Agency urged eligible applicants to complete their procedures through the electronic platform and follow the required steps to avoid delays.
