Pakistan-Kuwait technology conference 2025 strengthens bilateral innovation, investment

The Embassy of Pakistan in Kuwait in collaboration with the Pakistan Software Export Council organized a technology conference at the Radisson Blu Hotel on September 29 and 30 attended by decision-makers, innovators, and senior business leaders and IT sectors from Kuwait and Pakistan to explore avenues for digital innovation, trade, and youth-focused opportunities.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Kuwait, Dr. Zafar Iqbal, said the fraternal relations between Pakistan and Kuwait, built on faith and trust, are now entering a new phase of cooperation encompassing technology, innovation, and digital services and called on companies from both countries to seize this opportunity and work together to innovate technological solutions that will benefit the entire region.

The second day of the event featured panel discussions, keynote speeches, and bilateral meetings, covering advanced topics such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, smart cities, digital commerce, and financial technologies. The conference served as the first dedicated platform to enhance collaboration between Pakistan and Kuwait in information technology and modern technologies, aiming to strengthen digital and economic ties.

Dr. Khaled Al-Zamel, Chairman of Kuwait’s Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA), stressed Kuwait’s commitment to supporting IT sector growth, promoting innovation, and exchanging expertise with Pakistan to shape a digital future. His remarks highlighted Kuwait’s leadership in ethical AI, digital transformation, and the New Kuwait 2035 vision, spanning governance, financial services, healthcare, smart cities, and cybersecurity.

Dr. Hajar Al-Hadawi, Director-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), affirmed the organization’s dedication to fostering investment, creating jobs, and supporting both countries in the digital economy. She introduced the AI-REAL Toolkit, which provides an AI roadmap and actionable recommendations, noting that the conference offers a strategic platform to showcase Kuwait’s Vision 2035, Pakistan’s technological capabilities, and regional innovation and investment opportunities.
