MCI tells brokers, jewelers: Register on MoFA alert system by July 31
. . . failure to comply will result in financial penalties

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has called on real estate brokers and precious metals dealers to register with the automated alert system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which tracks updates to international sanctions lists related to counterterrorism and the financing of arms proliferation.
In a statement, the ministry emphasized that the deadline for registration is July 31, warning that failure to comply will result in financial penalties in accordance with relevant legal provisions, reports Al-Rai daily.
The alert system is part of Kuwait’s broader commitment to adhering to international standards on combating money laundering, terrorism financing, and arms proliferation, and aims to ensure that businesses are kept informed in real time about relevant updates to sanctions lists.
The ministry urged all concerned parties to act quickly and complete the mandatory registration to avoid regulatory violations and potential legal consequences.
