Kuwait Oil Company ousts convicted employee after 2020 investigation
The company clarified that the accused CEO heads a private oil services firm with no ties to Kuwait Petroleum Corporation or its subsidiaries.
The Kuwait Oil Company confirmed that the employee sentenced to prison by the Criminal Court today previously held a supervisory position as a team leader.
According to Al Rai newspaper, the company investigated the employee, resulting in his dismissal in 2020. Following this, a report was filed with the Public Funds Prosecution after the charges against him were proven.
The company explained that the CEO accused in the same case is the head of a private-sector oil services company, which has no connection to the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and its subsidiaries.
