Ministry of Commerce Issues 35 Violations in Farwaniya and Ahmadi Inspection Campaigns
Action targets commercial fraud, unlicensed shops, and sale of prohibited goods
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced that its inspection teams issued 35 violation reports for various infractions during monitoring tours carried out in the governorates of Farwaniya and Ahmadi as part of its ongoing efforts to promote compliance with commercial regulations and protect consumers in the markets.
The Ministry stated in a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the inspection team of the Farwaniya Governorate carried out a field tour of a number of commercial establishments, which resulted in the issuance of 25 violation reports for various offenses, including commercial fraud by using and selling expired cosmetics in one of the commercial establishments, in addition to selling goods of unknown origin and prohibited from circulation.
It added that 5 violation notices were also issued to shops operating without a license or in a manner contrary to the nature of the activity for which they were licensed. The tour also resulted in the seizure of a grocery store that was selling food items subsidized by the state, and it was closed in accordance with the provisions of the laws and regulations.
It noted that the inspection team of the Ahmadi Governorate Monitoring Department carried out an inspection tour of a number of shops in the governorate, which resulted in the issuance of 10 violation reports for various offenses.
