The coalition supporting Yemen’s internationally recognized government said it is providing air protection over the Bab Al-Mandab Strait and conducting ongoing operations against moving targets. The coalition spokesman said air support is being provided around the clock to assist Yemeni armed forces operating on the ground.
He added that 324 high-value targets had been destroyed since the launch of Operation “Dawn of Yemen.” Separately, Al-Arabiya TV quoted a spokesman for Yemeni government forces as saying that forces had taken control of the Bab Al-Mandab Strait.
The Yemeni spokesman said the Giants Forces and Homeland Shield forces had secured control of the strategic waterway and that hundreds of Houthi fighters were under siege.
