1,253 violators arrested, 36 undocumented children referred to authorities along with their mothers

Ministry of Interior has intensified its comprehensive security campaign in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, resulting in the arrest of 1,253 individuals wanted in security cases or found violating residency and labor laws, as authorities continue a large-scale operation aimed at restoring order and eliminating illegal activities in the area.
The ministry said the campaign, carried out in coordination with several government agencies, is part of an integrated field plan to remove violations, enhance public safety, and prevent the recurrence of illegal practices. Previous phases of the operation focused on evacuating illegally occupied residences and dismantling unauthorized housing.
According to the Ministry of Interior, the campaign is being conducted under the directives of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef and supervised by Undersecretary Major General Abdul Wahab Ahmed Al-Wahib.
In addition to those arrested for security, residency and labor violations, authorities referred 36 children, along with their mothers, to the competent authorities after determining they required legal and administrative processing under applicable laws.
The ministry said the operation has also produced significant infrastructure and public service outcomes. The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy reported a 60 percent reduction in electricity loads in Farwaniya Governorate after power was disconnected from approximately 1,200 illegally occupied residences.
Several government agencies have simultaneously carried out enforcement measures as part of the campaign. Kuwait Municipality issued 777 violation notices, removed 27 abandoned vehicles, placed warning stickers on 64 abandoned vehicles, and continued cleaning and inspection work across the area.
The Ministry of Public Works identified 1,432 buildings considered at risk of collapse, closed 20 illegal sewage connections, and repaired 60 damaged sections of roads.
The Public Authority for Manpower conducted 6,511 inspections of commercial establishments, detected violations in 1,471 businesses, recorded 129 cases involving illegal accommodation fees, and referred 110 individuals from migrant worker shelters to the Deportation Department.
The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition issued 315 violation reports, ordered the destruction of unsafe food through nine reports, and submitted 12 requests to close violating establishments.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued 256 seizure reports and ordered the closure of 10 violating businesses, while the Ministry of Health provided treatment to 784 people at shelter facilities and referred 61 patients to hospitals for further care.
The Kuwait Fire Force implemented 188 administrative closure orders, while the Environment Public Authority issued 90 environmental violation reports that were referred to the Public Prosecution.
The Ministry of Interior stressed that security teams will continue inspecting evacuated properties and monitoring attempts to violate government decisions.
It affirmed that strict legal action will be taken against offenders and that similar campaigns will continue in other areas to strengthen public security, enforce the law, and improve the quality of life across the country.
