The White House has stated that Iran must agree to transfer its enriched uranium to the United States as part of ongoing negotiations aimed at ending the conflict. The position was outlined by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt during an interview with Fox News on Wednesday.
Leavitt said the demand forms part of broader discussions on how to conclude the war and ensure regional stability, adding that President Donald Trump is seeking a unified international response from allies and partners regarding the proposed framework, reports Al-Rai daily.
The White House also confirmed that there is no fixed deadline for extending the current ceasefire between the United States and Iran. Instead, the administration emphasized that President Trump wants coordinated and unified engagement from Iran before any further steps are taken.
The comments come amid ongoing diplomatic efforts to sustain the ceasefire and advance negotiations aimed at addressing Iran’s nuclear program and reducing regional tensions.
