IMWA organizes free two-day dental camp for members and families in Kuwait
The Indian Muslim Welfare Association (IMWA), Kuwait, organized a free dental check-up camp for its members and their families at Virtus Dental Clinic on 7th and 8th September 2026 at both its clinics in Salmiya and Mangaf, as part of its ongoing commitment to promoting health and welfare among the Indian community in Kuwait.
The two-day dental camp provided IMWA members and their family members with an opportunity to undergo professional dental examinations and receive expert advice on maintaining good oral health. The initiative was aimed at encouraging members to give greater attention to oral hygiene and seek timely dental care before minor problems develop into serious dental conditions.
The camp was conducted with the support and cooperation of the doctors, dental professionals. Special arrangements were made to ensure that visiting members received proper attention and that consultations were conducted in an organized and comfortable manner. The clinic also made arrangements to accommodate women patients, including the availability of female doctors and separate waiting facilities.
Speaking on the occasion, IMWA President Syed Hanif Ahmed welcomed the members attending the camp and stressed the importance of regular dental check-ups as an essential part of overall health and well-being. He said that oral health is often overlooked despite its close connection with general health and that regular examinations can help identify dental problems at an early stage.
He expressed his appreciation to the members and their families for responding positively to the initiative and making use of the facility provided by IMWA. He also thanked the doctors, dental professionals for their valuable support and for dedicating their time to serve the community.
The dental camp is another initiative in IMWA’s series of community welfare programs designed to benefit its members and their families. The association has been regularly organizing programs in areas such as education, family welfare, counselling, religious activities and healthcare, with the objective of strengthening community participation and providing practical benefits to its membership.
The successful organization of the dental camp also reflected the coordinated efforts of the IMWA Executive Committee members, who worked closely with the clinic to manage registrations, allocate appointments and ensure that the program proceeded smoothly. Members were encouraged to follow their allotted time slots so that overcrowding could be avoided and each participant could receive adequate attention from the dental team.
IMWA expressed its gratitude to all members who participated in the camp and encouraged them to continue giving priority to preventive healthcare. The association also conveyed its hope that similar health and welfare initiatives would be organized in the future in collaboration with healthcare institutions and other community partners.
