TKS traditionally celebrates ‘Telugu Baala Mahotsavam’ in Kuwait
Telugu Kala Samithi (TKS), a prominent organization representing the Telugu diaspora in Kuwait for more than four decades, celebrated the prestigious ‘Telugu Baala Mahotsavam’ in a grand traditional manner on Friday, May 22, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel, Mahboula.
The program was organized with the primary vision of promoting and preserving the Telugu language, culture, and heritage among the younger generation. The event received an overwhelming response from the Telugu community across Kuwait.
The young performers beautifully brought to life several legendary icons who left an indelible mark on Telugu history, culture, and cinema.
Dressed in spectacular traditional attire, the children delivered powerful dialogues portraying renowned personalities such as Gurujada Apparao, Nayakuralu Nagamma, the epitome of selflessness Thimmakka, revolutionary freedom fighter Alluri Sita Rama Raju, legendary actress Mahanati Savitri, the witty Tenali Rama Krishna, warrior queen Jhansi Lakshmi Bai, and the revered Eeswaramma.
Additionally, several students mesmerized the audience with their flawless recitation of traditional slokas, showcasing their dedication to Telugu culture and values.
Appreciation and Recognition of Academic Excellence
To encourage and honor their efforts, all participating children, teachers, and coordinators of the Telugu Baala Mahotsavam were felicitated on stage with official certificates and special gift hampers.
On this occasion, TKS also recognized academic excellence by honoring students from TKS families who successfully passed their 10th and 12th grades. The students were presented with certificates and gift hampers as a token of encouragement for their higher education and future achievements.
An elaborate Audio-Visual (AV) presentation was showcased by TKS President Mr. Hemchand Basva, highlighting the successful programs and initiatives undertaken by the committee during the 2025–2026 tenure.
Following the AV presentation, the Annual General Body Meeting was conducted, during which the committee transparently presented and explained the detailed financial statements and accounts to the members.
The Election Committee also announced the new TKS Executive Committee for the 2026–2027 term. All newly appointed committee members were invited onto the stage and formally introduced to the gathering.
Senior members and elders of TKS highly appreciated the flawless execution and grand success of the entire program. The event concluded on a high note, reinforcing the community’s commitment to keeping the Telugu language and culture alive in the hearts of the diaspora.
