Tehran Airport resumes international flights after Iran conflict pause

Commercial air traffic has resumed at Imam Khomeini International Airport for the first time in nearly two months, following disruptions caused by the recent conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel.

According to Iran’s state broadcaster, the airport has restarted limited international operations, with scheduled flights now operating to destinations including Istanbul in Turkey, Muscat in Oman, and the Saudi city of Medina.

Flight tracking data from Flightradar24 showed at least three flights bound for Istanbul departing from Tehran on Saturday morning, confirming the gradual return of air connectivity.

The reopening follows a partial easing of restrictions earlier this month, when Iranian authorities reopened sections of national airspace during a ceasefire period with the United States.

Officials have described the resumption as a cautious step toward restoring normal aviation operations, though flight capacity remains limited as regional security conditions continue to stabilize.
