Police conduct 1,779 operations, record 5,408 traffic violations in one week

Authorities seized 27 wanted vehicles and 61 individuals without identification, handled 263 traffic accidents and assisted 607 cases.

The General Department of Emergency Police carried out 1,779 security operations, referred 22 individuals to the General Department for Combating Narcotics, and recorded 5,408 traffic violations in a single week, Al Rai newspaper reported.

Emergency police statistics from August 31 to September 6 show that 259 wanted individuals were arrested for absconding, outstanding warrants, or expired residency.

Authorities also seized 27 wanted vehicles and 61 individuals without identification, resolved five fights, handled 263 traffic accidents and one pedestrian incident, apprehended 11 suspects, and assisted 607 cases.

Security sources confirmed that these campaigns aim to curb negative behaviors, deter violators, and strengthen road safety and public discipline.
