PAFN shuts down three restaurants over spoiled food violations

- The food safety authority said inspection campaigns across Kuwait will continue as part of ongoing efforts to protect consumer health and ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
The Inspection Department of the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, in the Capital Governorate, has ordered the closure of three food establishments found to be in violation of health and safety regulations.
In a statement published on its official account on the “X” platform, the authority said the establishments were shut down after inspectors found on the premises food deemed unfit for human consumption.
The violations also included failure to comply with general hygiene and sanitation requirements during food preparation.
The authority stated that all necessary legal measures were taken against the violating establishments in accordance with applicable regulations aimed at safeguarding public health and consumer safety.
Officials stressed that ensuring compliance with food safety standards remains a top priority, particularly in establishments dealing directly with food production, preparation, and distribution.
The authority further confirmed that intensive inspection campaigns across food establishments will continue as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen monitoring procedures, detect violations, and protect consumers from health risks associated with unsafe food practices.
