Oil Minister visits worker injured in heinous Iraqi offshore platform attack

Oil Minister Tariq Al-Roumi on Tuesday visited Al-Adan Hospital to check on the condition of Mohammed Suleiman, an employee of an oil services company working with Kuwait Oil Company, who was injured in Sunday’s attack on one of the company’s offshore platforms.

According to a statement issued by the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), the minister was accompanied by Acting KPC Chief Executive Officer Bader Al-Attar, Kuwait Oil Company CEO Ahmed Al-Eidan, and KPC Managing Director for Human Resources and Comprehensive Services Hisham Al-Rifai.

During the visit, Al-Roumi wished the injured employee a speedy and full recovery and reiterated his condemnation of the attack on the offshore platform, describing it as part of the recent hostile attacks targeting the State of Kuwait.

The minister emphasized that the workforce remains the foundation of the oil sector’s success, stressing that the safety and well-being of all employees are a top priority that cannot be compromised.

He added that standing by employees and ensuring their welfare reflects the values of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and its commitment to placing the human element at the heart of its operations.
