Police Solve Armed Jewellery Store Robbery, Recover Stolen Items Worth KD39,000

The General Department of Criminal Investigation has successfully solved an armed robbery targeting a jewellery store in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, arresting two suspects and recovering all stolen valuables valued at approximately KD39,000.
According to the Ministry of Interior, the incident came to light after authorities received a report of an armed robbery at a jewellery shop in Farwaniya Governorate. Security teams immediately rushed to the scene, secured the area, collected evidence, and reviewed surveillance camera footage.
Investigators found that two men had carried out the robbery using a fake firearm and knives before fleeing with a quantity of gold jewellery and mobile phones.
Intensive investigations led detectives to identify the suspects, both Syrian nationals. Authorities revealed that one of them was already wanted on an arrest warrant related to residency violations.

Further inquiries showed that the pair had stolen a vehicle, which they used to commit the robbery. They later attempted to burn the vehicle in the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area in an effort to destroy evidence and conceal their involvement.
Following a coordinated operation, detectives arrested both suspects and recovered all the stolen property. During questioning, the two men confessed to carrying out the crime, while the complainant identified the recovered items as those stolen from the jewellery store.
The suspects, along with the recovered evidence, have been referred to the competent authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures.
The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its commitment to combating crime and maintaining public safety, stressing that security personnel will continue to pursue anyone attempting to threaten the nation’s security and that offenders will be brought to justice.
