OICC Kuwait bids farewell to Johncy C. Samuel
The OICC Kuwait Alappuzha District Committee accorded a warm farewell to its senior member and Alappuzha District Vice President, Johncy C. Samuel, who is returning to India after concluding his expatriate career in Kuwait.
The farewell function was held under the chairmanship of Acting District President A. I. Kurian. The event was inaugurated by Varghese Puthukulangara, Member of the OICC Global Committee, who praised Samuel’s dedicated service and valuable contributions to the organization over the years. He also wished him a happy and fulfilling life with his family as he begins a new chapter back home.
As a token of appreciation, the OICC Alappuzha District Committee presented a memento to Johncy C. Samuel in recognition of his commitment and service to the organization.
Delivering the keynote address, OICC Acting President B. S. Pillai lauded Samuel’s unwavering dedication to the Congress movement and OICC activities in Kuwait.
Several OICC leaders also extended their best wishes, including National Vice Presidents Binu Chembalayam and Vipin Mangattu, National General Secretary Binoy Chandran, National Secretary in charge of Alappuzha District Ravichandran Chuzhali, National Joint Treasurer Koshi Bose, Alappuzha District General Secretary Kalesh B. Pillai, and Executive Committee members John Varghese and Sabu Thomas.
Responding to the felicitations, Samuel expressed heartfelt gratitude to the district committee and his colleagues for the affectionate farewell. He affirmed that he would continue to remain actively associated with the Congress movement and OICC after returning to India.
The program began with a welcome address by Biju Parayil, Programme Convener and OICC Alappuzha District Secretary, while Vijo P. Thomas, District Treasurer, proposed the vote of thanks.
